PSG College of pharmacy, Coimbatore, in alliance with Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Tamil Nadu state Branch, for the first time organized one day National seminar on “Effective Teaching, Learning Strategies and Research in Pharmacy” and award ceremony held on 1st April 2023. The award honours teachers in 6 categories who have provided guidance, inspiration and mentored students to take up careers in the field of Pharmacy. This helps to bring out the talented teachers at different age groups at state level and motivate them for competing at national level. This will also motivate the teachers to adopt the New Education Policy (NEP 2022) initiatives related to teaching learning process.
The seminar started with welcome address delivered by Dr.V.Sankar, President APTI Tamil Nadu Branch, Vice Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy followed by the presidential address by Dr. M. Ramanathan, Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy. The awarding ceremony was graced by the chief Guest, Dr. S.Manian, Ph.D., Former Vice Chancellor, Annamalai University, Chidambaram and guest of honour Dr. M.Venkata Ramana, Ph.D., Central Vice president, APTI south region, Managing Director, Vagdevi College of Pharmacy. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. R Sambathkumar, Secretary, APTI-TN Branch, Principal, Erode College of Pharmacy.
