Valar Karangal
Valar Karangal is a charity initiative of PSG College of Pharmacy students aimed to help the orphans for education and other basic needs. Valar Karanagal was initiated by 2011 batch B Pharm and Pharm D students. The main objective of valar karangal are to create a platform for the students to inculcate social responsibility for helping the needs. . Officially Valar Karangal was launched in June 2014 college day function. The following details are the responsibilities and work done by Valar Karangal at the respective years.
2019 – 2020
Student Council secretary : KATHIR NILAVAN .P (Pharm.D 2016 Batch)- Title of the event : Act out to Hunger
- Venue : Chesire old age home (Peelamedu)
- No. of students participated : 30 students (Agusthianz)

- Students contribution : Rs.500/-
Summary : Agusthianz (1st year students of B.Pharm & Pharm D), contributed for lunch to mentally challenged people in Chesire old age home, Peelamedu consisting of 50 people. For this event we collected an amount, of 500 rupees, which they voluntarily donated from their savings. We hope this event will rise the sense of humanity among them.

Summary: To involve students in social activities and to overcome their mobile addiction we initiated Organic Farming in the name of POTHIGAI VANAM at Chesire old age home every weekend under the guidance and support of our beloved Principal Dr.M.Ramanathan and Mr. D.Sivakumar. The students gained an insight on the raised bed technique in crop cultivation through this program.

- Planted 20 plantlets in Attukal on Environmental day.

- Donated set of books,dresses,sweets,basic accessories etc.. to Abhaya AIDS Home on 16.12.2016.
- Donated medicine,food,toys and basic nees to ASHRAM Home on 08.04.2017.
