INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITES

  

A MOU was signed between PSGCP and the University of Toledo, School of Pharmacy on the 13th of April 2012 to facilitate exchange of students and faculty between the two institutions.  The MOU was signed by Hon. Trustee of PSG Institutions, Shri L Gopalakrishnan, Dr. M Ramanathan, Principal, PSGCP and Dr. John Early, Dean, School of Pharmacy, University of Toledo, Ohio USA.

Dr. John Early, Dean, School of Pharmacy, University of Toledo, USA, addressed the Pharm-D and Postgraduate students regarding career and higher studies opportunities in the USA.

 

PSGCP Annual College Day – 2012:

 

The PSGCP Annual College Day – 2012 was celebrated on the 15th of June 2012.
Mr. KG Ananthakrishnan, MD MSD-South Asia presided as the Chief Guest.  Shri.L Gopalakrishnan, Hon. Trustee of PSG Institutions also presided the occasion.  The Chief Guest gave a talk to the students on the emerging opportunities in the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry.  Later, he also awarded medals and certificates to the academic toppers.

Graduation Day:

 

PSGCP proudly celebrated its 8th Graduation day after its inception in 2001.  It also held its Annual Cultural day (Sangamam-2012) where students presented various cultural items like songs, dances, mimes, and a host of other items.

 

 

NSS ACTIVITIES

The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and P.S.G. College of Pharmacy jointly conducted NSS camp at Nambiyalaganpalayam from 23rd to 28th January 2012. The camp provided free medical checkup followed by distribution of free medicines. The medical checkup was carried out for BP, Anemia, Diabetes, Blood grouping was conducted. An awareness programme on drug usage was also organised. The Sports & Drawing competitions were conducted to the Nambiyalaganpalayam village school students. Dr. M. Ramanathan, the principal, PSG College of Pharmacy and Dr. B. Dinesh Kumar, NSS Coordinator of PSG College of Pharmacy expressed sincere thanks to public who are participated in the medical camp.
