Mrs. G. Syamala, Assistant Professor secured 2nd prize on her research paper titled “High performance thin layer chromatographic quantification of Rectin in the root of Aegle marmelos” in “Pharmacon III” held at Nehru College of Pharmacy

Students

Mr. A. Justin stood first in The TN Dr. M.G.R Medical University examination in M Pharm Pharmacology specialization and received GOLD MEDAL.

Mr. Sivaraman, Mr. Rama Rai Chowdary and Mr. Naveen Kumar secured 3rd Prize and cash award in the State level Quiz competition conducted at The TN Dr. M. G. R Medical University, Chennai.

In National level Essay Competition at IPA Congress 2010, Ms. Mariam Alexander won 1st Prize.

Tamilnadu Pharmaceutical Welfare Trust announced 1st prize to Mrs. Kalpana Eluri & Mr. Vimal and 2nd prize to Mr. R. Ranjith Kumar to their M. Pharm project.

Mr. Britto Duraisingh & Ms. Kabila were selected as Student Volunteers for International FIP Congress 2011.

Ms. Shahanaz S.A III B Pharm won 2nd prize in the state level Elocution competition conducted among pharmacy colleges.

Research Paper Presentation Award

Mr. Velayutham and Mr. Harikrishnan secured 1st and 2nd Prize respectively in poster presentation of his research work in drug delivery at International Conference on Drug Delivery and Drug targeting Research at Jadavpur University, Kolkata

Mr. Britto Duraisingh secured 3rd prize in oral presentation of his research work related to clinical Pharmacy at RVS College of Pharmacy

Mr. Siddharth secured 3rd prize on his research paper “ Formulation and evaluation of felodipine by liquisolid compact technique” at the national scientific seminar on Recent Frontiers in pharmaceutical sciences at College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical college, Thiruvananthapuram- Guide Mr. Balakumar

Mrs. Porchelvi secured Best Poster award on her research paper “Impact of Pharmacist role in Medication Error reporting –A prospective study” in the National Conference on Preclinical and Clinical Challenges in Drug Discovery held on 10th & 11th November 2011 at Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, Coimbatore- Guide Mrs. G Andhuvan

Mrs. Rajalakshmi secured 2nd prize on her research paper “Formulation and Physico-chemical evaluation of Fexofenadine hydrochloride transdermal patches” at the National scientific seminar on Recent frontiers in pharmaceutical sciences at College of Pharmaceutical sciences, Thiruvananthapuram Guide Mr. S. Subramaniam

Mr. Peter Christoper G.V. secured 1st prize on his research paper “Formulation Optimization of PLGA – Zidovudine nanoparticles and in-vitro evaluations to study the effectiveness in crossing Blood Brain Barrier” at National Symposium on Mathematical Modeling In Drug Development And Drug Delivery (MMDD 2012) conducted by Ultra College Of Pharmacy, Madurai – Dr. C. Mr. Venkatachalam, secured 1st prize on his research paper “Novel, High sensitive, Validated HPLC Bioanalytical method for simultaneous Quantitation of Curcuminoids Pharmacokinetic study” at National Symposium on Mathematical Modeling In Drug Development And Drug Delivery (MMDD 2012) conducted by Ultra College Of Pharmacy, Madurai – Mr. S. Sports and Cultural

The overall Champion ship of the regional level games and athletes meet ALMIDON 08 & ALMIDON 09 was won by PSG College of Pharmacy

PSG College of Pharmacy declared as winner of the regional level cultural meet KATANA 2010

In the Nature club Photograph competition Nalam 2010, photograph taken by one of our Final year student won the 1st Prize.

Other Milestones

PSG College of Pharmacy is a DSIR approved research centre

Funds received around 1.6 crores from various funding bodies like, DBT, DST (DPRP) DST (SERC) AICTE, ICMR, TNCST & TNPWT.

A Separate centre has been established for

  • Drug discovery and molecular biology,
  • Bio analytical lab,
  • Pharmacometric lab
